HMP Kirkham: Treating hepatitis C in prison
In this good practice case study, HCV Action visits the hepatitis C service at HMP Kirkham in Lancashire. Natalie Robinson and Alexandra Robson from the healthcare team at HMP Kirkham emphasise the importance and effectiveness of their opt-out testing system, whereby everybody at the prison is offered and strongly encouraged to undergo screening for hepatitis C. Improving Outcomes for People with Blood Borne Viruses in Dundee
Dundee CHP supported a pilot piece of work in February 2013 by inviting all GP Practices to submit an audit of their BBV patient population. Measuring the impact of the recommendations of the London Joint Working Group on Substance Use and Hepatitis C - learning from the pilots
In 2011 the London Joint Working Group published 'Tackling the Problem of Hepatitis C, Substance Misuse and Health Inequalities: a Consensus for London'. Summary Report: Hepatitis C Good Practice Roadshow, Liverpool
This report provides a summary of the good practice hepatitis C roadshow held by HCV Action and Public Health England on 6th March 2015, in Liverpool. The roadshow was aimed at sharing good practice around hepatitis C and instigating local action to address the virus.
