Good practice case study: ITTREAT (Integrated community-based Test – stage – TREAT)
This HCV Action good practice case study summarises a 4-year Integrated Test-stage and TREAT (ITTREAT) community project in Brighton, where a specialist hepatitis nurse was appointed to lead a ‘one-stop’ holistic hepatitis C service - including testing, assessment of liver scarring, education and treatment - within a community-based substance misuse service.

Good practice case study: Oxford Liaison Service outreach
This HCV Action good practice case study looks at the community outreach work done by Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. A survey of injecting drug users in the Oxfordshire area to determine levels of hepatitis C testing found that a third of responders had never been tested for hepatitis C. Following the survey results, the Trust established a Liaison Service, training substance misuse staff to test clients for hepatitis C, referring patients to secondary care and, in some cases, treating patients in the community.UK, South East Case study PDF

HCV Action good practice case study: Peer to Peer Hepatitis C Mentoring in Hampshire
A hepatitis C peer to peer (P2P) mentoring project established in 2012, in partnership with The Hepatitis C Trust, in order to engage with and support people who have, or may be at risk from, hepatitis C. As an extension of the project, in 2014 a series of testing events were held in order to both raise awareness of hepatitis C among people at risk, and also to increase the numbers of people tested, with mentors playing a key role in ensuring that those being engaged with were fully supported throughout.UK, England, South East Dec 2015 Case study PDF

HCV Action & PHE hepatitis C roadshow in Brighton: Presentations
On 24th November 2015, HCV Action and Public Health England (PHE) staged a hepatitis C good practice roadshow in Brighton.
