Addressing liver disease in the UK: a blueprint for attaining excellence in health care and reducing premature mortality from lifestyle issues of excess consumption of alcohol, obesity, and viral hepatitis

This report, published by the Lancet Commission on Liver Disease, addresses the liver disease crisis in the UK. The report contains ten recommendations for improving liver care and reducing premature mortality rates caused by liver disease. These recommendations include the eradication of chronic hepatitis C infections in the UK by 2030, and increasing the provision of medical and nursing training in hepatology.
