The WHO Consolidated guidelines on HIV, viral hepatitis and STI prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care for key populations outline a public health response for five key populations (men who have sex with men, trans and gender diverse people, sex workers, people who inject drugs and people in prisons and other closed settings). They present and discuss new recommendations and consolidate a range of recommendations and guidance from current WHO guidelines.
An audit of hepatitis C services in a representative sample of English prisons, 2013

Download
This audit by Public Health England (PHE) and the Department of Health (DH) describes national best practice standards relating to hepatitis C services in prisons in England; compares hepatitis C services in a representative sample of 20 English prisons against these national best practice standards, and provides objective evidence and intelligence for commissioners and service providers to assist in the development and delivery of high quality hepatitis C services in prisons. The audit aims to contribute positively to improving the care of people in prison and the quality of clinical services provided; to identify areas of good practice which can then be shared across the prison estate using the information from the audit; and to identify whether there are impediments to best care which can be addressed by the commissioning body.
