Greater Manchester Hepatitis C Self Support Project: May 2010 - April 2013

2010 by Heywood and Middleton Primary Care Trust (PCT), Black Health Agency
The following document presents a plan for a Greater Manchester Hepatitis C Strategy project providing client centred, self-care support to people with Hepatitis C in Greater Manchester. The project was funded for 3 years and aimed to provide a sustainable system for self-care support to be in place across the whole of Greater Manchester. The Project aimed to work closely with existing Hepatitis C Support groups to ensure their sustainability. It also aimed to work with people with Hepatitis C to ensure that Hepatitis C Support Groups are encouraged in areas that there is little or no provision, such as in areas like Wigan and with local Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) populations.
