WHO policy brief on access to testing and treatment for people who inject drugs and people in prisons
The World Health Organisation (WHO) published this policy brief in April 2019 to set out the current landscape of country hepatitis policies for harm reduction and hepatitis C testing and treatment for people who inject drugs and people in prisons. It aims to capture how governments are translating the WHO Global health sector strategy on viral hepatitis 2016-2021, which the UK Government has signed up to, in national plans. Hepatitis C in England 2019 report
Public Health England's annual report on the UK’s progress towards eliminating hepatitis C sets out that although a lot has been achieved towards the World Health Organisation’s target of eliminating hepatitis C as a major public health threat by 2030, there is still much to do.
