In this good practice film, HCV Action interviews Jayne Wilkie, Hepatitis C Community Nurse, and Dr Diane Exley from the Brownlow Health Practice in Liverpool. Brownlow Health's unique primary care model of testing, diagnosis and treatment for hepatitis C through a Hepatitis C Community Nurse has led to significant positive outcomes locally. HCV Action ODN Stakeholder Event 2020: A national perspective on elimination
These are the opening talks from this year's ODN Stakeholder Event from Mark Gillyon-Powell, Head of Programme for HCV Elimination, NHS England and Prof Graham Foster, National Clinical Lead for ODNs, NHS England. The talks gives a national overview on hepatitis C elimination efforts in England and how COVID-19 has impacted these. Professor Guruprasad Aithal, President of the British Association for the Study of the Liver (BASL) chaired the event. HCV Shared Practice: Nurse-led BBV testing and support at Telford Drug and Alcohol Recovery service
This document provides a case study of a Local Authority service in Shropshire, in which nurses within a drug and alcohol recovery service team are employed by the Shropshire Community Health Trust whilst working alongside the Local Authority staff to provide the health element of the service.
